In order to reach an agreement, the Bundesliga club validated a purchase option of 15 million euros, which would make the operation neutral or almost neutral for Stade Rennais if the operation was finalized in 2025. Fabian Rider is the Breton club’s second departure for Germany, since Jeanuël Belocian signed for Leverkusen in exchange for 20 million euros.
