The France of energy renovation is taking shape and revealing particularly active territories in 2024. According to an unprecedented study by the Effy group, based on public data from MaPrimeRénov, a detailed map of energy renovation projects is emerging for the period from January to September 2024 It is no surprise in the North that the efforts are greatest. Thus the Hauts-de-France region clearly stands out, sitting at the top of the national ranking with 20,000 MaPrimeRénov files validated. This territory in the north of France demonstrates remarkable dynamics in terms of energy renovation, well ahead of its competitors. However, the top 5 metropolitan regions reveal a contrasting geography of renovation with Hauts-de-France in the lead (20,000 files), followed by New Aquitaine (19,378 files), Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes (17,903 files), Île-de-France (17,693 files) and the Grand Est (14,989). If Occitanie comes in 7th place (13,521 files), it also records the sharpest drop in the number of files validated between 2023 and 2024 (62%), a worrying situation for the artisanal fabric of the building which finds there a means decline in the face of the decline in construction. At the departmental level, Bas-Rhin confirms the regional dynamic with 2,250 validated files, followed closely by Yvelines and its 2,232 files. Loire, Haute-Garonne and Bouches-du-Rhône complete this departmental top 5. There are 8 departments of Occitanie in the national Top 18: Haute-Garonne (2068 – 4th), Gard (1802 – 6th), Hérault (1746 – 7th), Tarn-et-Garonne (806 – 14th). ), Aude (803 – 15th), Pyrénées-Orientales (791 – 16th), Ariège (529 – 17th) and Lozère (294 – 19th). Despite these encouraging results, the study highlights a less optimistic trend: a generalized decline in MaPrimeRénov files is observed across all metropolitan regions between 2023 and 2024. In Haute-Garonne, it fell by 65% but Tarn -et-Garonne seems less affected with a drop of 60% from 2058 validated files to 806. This national photograph raises questions about the persistent obstacles to energy renovation and the policies to be implemented to maintain the dynamic of energy transition in the territories. The commitment of Hauts-de-France and the North nevertheless demonstrates a clear desire for energy transformation, offering a potential model for other French regions.
