With the aim of financing investments included in the budget for the year 2024, the State of Senegal, through the General Directorate of Public Accounting and the Treasury, had issued these bond loans.

It is within this framework that the issuer carried out from January 18 to February 7, 2024 the distribution of these securities to the public at the price of 10,000 FCFA per bond.

At the end of this operation, 11,544,982 State of Senegal bonds 6.25% 2024-2028, 9,951,580 State of Senegal bonds 6.45% 2024-2031 and 5 were subscribed on the regional financial market of the UEMOA. 067,416 State of Senegal 6.65% 2024-2034, for a total amount of 265,639,780,000 FCFA.

The benefit date for these securities was set for February 9, 2024.

The listing session for the loans of the State of Senegal, admitted to the BRVM bond compartment, aims to promote the exchange of securities on the regional financial market. Beyond these exchanges, the other interest in this listing is to boost the market capitalization of the bond market. At the end of the trading session on Thursday, June 20, 2024, this capitalization stood at 10,239.378 billion FCFA compared to 10,252.816 billion FCFA on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, a decrease of 13.438 billion.

According to the leaders of the BRVM, the introduction procedure chosen for the first day of trading is the ordinary procedure with a reference price set at 10,000 FCFA. The first trading price will be determined by the comparison of buy and sell orders.
