Iresine refines her preparation for the Saint-Cloud Grand Prix

After a victorious return to the Lyon-Parilly turf, Iresine performed this Sunday on this same track for a training gallop, before tackling his next objective, the Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud. Jean-Pierre Gauvin gave us his impressions: “It was not planned to come and gallop here, I was supposed to do this last gallop at home, but the severe weather forced us to do it. It’s a bit short in terms of time before the race, but the gallop that Marie (Vélon) gave him today is quite wise, and there is no risk that he will not recover. As is often the case, when I ask myself the question of whether we did too much or not enough, it’s because we did the right thing. The sensations were good according to Marie, and I am personally satisfied, because I ride him in the morning in training now. The Saint-Cloud Grand Prix is shaping up favorably. Now we just have to observe the weather, as usual. There is a strong possibility that the weather will return to rain by the end of the week. The softer the ground, the better..” His faithful partner, Marie Vélon, in the saddle on Jean-Pierre Gauvin’s protégé for this public training, also gave us her feelings: “I think he really gained momentum in his comeback race. He was very flexible in his actions, with a lot of desire, and that’s what I’m looking for with him. I really liked his gallop. When I came around the bend, I didn’t need to tighten him, he jumped on the bit by himself, and he lay down pleasantly.”
