Frontignan: the urban route adopts three new works

In the presence of their international authors, the inauguration of the three works urban to Frontignan took place last week in front of around forty people. The artists painted these frescoes during the week preceding the inauguration.

On the first, the Portuguese Joao Ribeiro presented his majestic pink flamingo wearing a straw hat. Painted on the gable of the premises of the Society of Frontignan Jousters, this colossal and colorful work fits perfectly into its decor.

Following strolls through the streets of the city and rediscovering different works previously created, the group headed towards Avenue Général de Gaule, where the Italian artist Diavù was painting the final touch to his work, a female face whose hair melts into colorful Mediterranean waves.

The visit finally extended to rue Alphonse-Daudet, where Alain Welter, from Luxembourg, gave free rein to his imaginary universe in a fresco which represents the author himself in the form of a dozing fisherman, surrounded of a school of fish.

These works are added to the already existing journey of the four internationally renowned street artists, Marco Zedone, Mohammed Roshdi, Joël Rollinger and Daniela Guerreiro, who came to Frontignan la Peyrade in May 2023 to create murals.

A route which also echoes the open-air museum (MaCO), made up of around thirty frescoes, located not far from Frontignan, in Sète.
