It's a special “agricultural crisis” day on Bleu, this Friday, a few days before a national mobilization of the professions. To talk about the situation, France Bleu Lorraine welcomes Laurence Adloff, head of ill-being prevention at the MSA of Lorraine.

We sense among them a certain resignation in the face of these events. We have a lot of farmers who are isolated“. The observation is simple for Laurence Adloff, this Friday morning, for this special “agricultural crisis” day on France Blue. The one who is responsible for preventing ill-being at the MSA of Lorraine explains that more and more farmers are turning to this service in recent years. “When we started in 2016, we had 40 reports per year. Right now, in 2024, while the year is not over yet, we have 110 new situations“, she explains before adding that “on the this represents 43%“.

Lots of constraints

These reports have several causesnotably “the administrative weight, the controls that also come, the isolation, the workload“, lists Laurence Adloff before specifying that there is “an age group that is targeted, we approach fifty, up to 65 we have health problems. Our farmers are having difficulty coping with this transfer or non-transmission, the fact that there are no buyers.

Another reason, climatic hazards with a very complicated year 2024the hottest ever recorded, there is also record rainfall in recent months which has an impact on the harvests, in terms of quality and quantity.“The MSA’s well-being prevention manager also lists”health difficulties, by viral diseases. We also have treasuries which are very tight. So our farmers are not doing well because there is a loss of bearings.”
