This Tuesday, The Young Communists of Touraine wrote to Thomas Campeaux, the new prefect of Indre-et-Loire. The object of their missive is simple: they demand the dissolution of the small far-right group “Tours et Des Lys”. The last torchlight march of the identitarians would be the main reason, report our colleagues from France Bleu.
“A danger for the Republic”, believes the secretary of the Young Communists. The parade of patriotic activists, which took place this Saturday, is particularly singled out. The “Tours et Des Lys” association took to the streets in honor of Bishop Saint Martin of Tours, the Patron Saint of the city, Fleur de Lys flag in hand, singing hymns, judged Nazis by left-wing partisans.
The ideology of the “Tours et Des Lys” group deemed dangerous
This demonstration was one too many. Although no incident has been reported, the Young Communists deplore the fact that these demonstrations are still authorized. The secretary recalls that the members of her association are often targeted by this identity group, which she describes as racist, homophobic and anti-feminist.
The Young Communists say they can no longer tolerate this kind of behavior and ideology. They hope that the prefect will take the necessary measures to dissolve this association operating under the 1901 law.
