The launch of the eleventh vintage of the bishop’s beer: “Abside and ordered” will take place on June 26, from 5:30 p.m. at the bishopric in Fribourg. This tasting and sales evening is open to all and part of the profits will be donated to two charitable projects: the association Breathe in Friborg and the diocese of Saïda in Lebanon.

Mgr Charles Morerod, bishop of Lausanne, Geneva and Fribourg, invites you to come and taste the “Abse and Orders”, a pale ale which follows ten other “bishop’s beers” produced since 2015. This edition notably echoes the 100 years of Saint-Nicolas Cathedral in Fribourg.

Brewed in Planfayon in the German-speaking part of the canton of Fribourg, this beer will see its sale benefit two charitable projects. On the one hand, the association Breathe, founded in Friborg in 2017, which helps adults and young people in situations of social, psychological or behavioral fragility. And on the other hand, for a church construction project in the diocese of Saïda, in Lebanon.

The bishop’s beer is put on sale during this evening by the bishopric via the company Coussicou SA. It will then be available from June 27 at the bishopric (rue de Lausanne 86 in Fribourg).

The principle of the bishop’s beer is to release a new limited vintage each year, the sale of which is intended for charitable causes. (cath.ch/com/mp)
