Party bars
Like every year, several downtown businesses program artists (1). This is particularly the case of Isa and Fred Fontaine (French variety) who will be scheduled in front of the Tavern, rue de la Paix, from 7:30 p.m.
The Castel 9 and the Emphytéose are joining forces by programming, from 6 p.m., rue du Val-de-Mayenne, several concerts on an outdoor stage. The party then continues indoors from 1 a.m. The Levrette café and the Black bear will also offer concerts. At the Black Bear, the festivities will be held outdoors, with a concert and DJ set.
A scene in front of the Château-neuf
For its part, the city of Laval lists several events. From 8 p.m., the Château-neuf esplanade hosts a stage, with programming from “6par4, with Crédit Mutuel”.
Several artists are announced such as Émissaire, folk singer-guitarist; Better than fine, Mayenne group of heterogeneous groovy pop; the R’n’B blues trio KJD blues band (south-Mayenne) or the DJ Sténopé with an electro set. On site, Baldifolies association refreshment bar.
Concerts in taverns
The new À la bonneheure tavern, installed in the courtyard of the Vieux-Château, program, from 7 p.m., music and dance with the students of the Extracurricular Activity Times (TAP); show followed by a concert by the Mayenne folk trio Grand Hôtel (8:30 p.m.), and by British pop rock singer based in Granville (Manche) Lewis Evans (9:45 p.m.). The evening will end from 11 p.m. with a DJ set.
The electro music collective Zéro tatage takes over the Boston square and the river stop from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m., next to Les Allumés du bidon, at the 11-222 tavern (from 7 p.m. to midnight with a DJ set to close the evening ).
Dance, choirs, open mic…
Other TAP schoolchildren present a music-dance show on the square in front of the Town Hall, from 7 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. Several choirs meet on the Anne-d’Alègre promenade, from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.: “the Kiff et boum Choir, the Mayenne collective Les Filles de voix and Circle song”.
The vocal group Tout fa pour fa will be in front of M’Lire, rue de la Paix, from 7:15 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. An open mic is scheduled by the Re7 production association, on the Théâtre square, from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Buron, Trémoille, Pinçon animated
At the initiative of the merchants of Avenue Robert-Buron, and with the Laval coeur de commerces association, several concerts are announced from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m.: the Laval Modern School of Music, the Welcome group, the Locos du micro, Wip, Km0, Andaluna danse…
Festivities are also organized at Place de la Trémoille, Quai André-Pinçon and Rue du Pont-de-Mayenne.
The organ in the cathedral
An organ, instruments and singing concert will be given in the cathedral at 8 p.m. by musicians from the parish and students from the organ class of the Laval Conservatory (free). On the program, works by Bach, Mozart, Couperin, Duruflé.
Traffic and parking restrictions
