But what the hell is going on at St. Gallen station? On Friday, a woman stood out on social networks for posing naked in front of a lens in broad daylight on a sidewalk. This weekend, it’s the turn of a young couple to shine: Monsieur was filmed doing doggy style to Madame, right next to a taxi rank at the station a few meters from the spot used for Friday’s photo shoot. “They were probably both in a big hurry,” says a reader who filmed the scene. “Did they both meet in one of the nightclubs not far away?”, he tries to understand.

And yet, in the immediate vicinity of the venue is the Walhalla Hotel. A receptionist confirms that rooms were still available during the night from Friday to Saturday. For around 150 francs a night, the couple could have gone somersaults in complete privacy.

Just like nudity, “sexual relations in public spaces are generally not prohibited. However, if passers-by feel disturbed by sexual acts in a public space, the offense of sexual harassment may apply,” explains Melinda Kürsteiner, spokesperson for the St. Gallen police. Neither municipal nor cantonal authorities have received any complaints. Apparently no one was that bothered by what happened at St. Gallen station.

On Friday, we asked our readers what they thought about public nudity. At the time of writing this article, a little more than 10,000 readers responded: 32% of them believe that “it is completely OK”, 39% believe that “there are no more morals nowadays”. Only 10% have no opinions. These figures do not relate to sexual acts in public.
