SENEGAL-EDUCATION-EXAMENS / Mbacké: “correct” progress of the CFEE tests and entry into sixth form – Senegalese press agency

Mbacké, June 25 (APS) – The deputy prefect of the department of Mbacké (center), Amadou Sow, reported a “correct progress” of the examination of the Certificate of End of Elementary Studies and the Competition entry into sixth grade”.

”We observed a normal progress of the tests with invigilators on site, the presence of candidates calmly composing, even if we noted a few cases of absence. But, overall, everything is going well,” he said.

He was speaking to the press, at the end of the traditional tour of five witness centers in the commune of Mbacké.

Accompanied by some administrative and academic authorities and representatives of parents’ associations, he visited the examination centers of Mbacké Khéwar, Cheikh Omar Diop, Sokhna khary Penda, Fallou Gallas and Massamba Mbacké.

The department of Mbacké (center) has 9,195 candidates, including 5,938 girls, or 64% of the total workforce, according to the education and training inspector (IEF), Ndiaga Ba.

For the IEF, “these numbers sufficiently prove the extremely important efforts that are being made so that today Mbacké is in the top five of the IEFs having presented the greatest number of candidates”.

Inspector Ndiaga Ba promised to strengthen initiatives to boost schooling but also to raise the quality of teaching in the Mbacké department.
