Message to Europe and Belgium: preserve and continue the Green Deal

Several hundred organizations and companies are sending an appeal to the future European authorities and the next governments in Belgium. We must pursue the Green Deal, essential to the economy and the environment, which are inseparable from each other.

LTheir voice does not come from nowhere, nor from just anyone. More than 130 associations and companies are sending a letter this Monday “to the political decision-makers who will define the guidelines and regulations in Belgium and in Europe: elected officials, future heads of government”. The message from these companies, members of The Shift network: we must not slow down. We must continue on the path of the Green Deal, of which political parties in Europe and Belgium have, more or less openly, questioned certain elements in recent months. In Europe, a new European Parliament and a new Commission will be set up for five years. Both will lean more to the right and, for the first, welcome a strong cohort of far-right deputies.
