The consortium led by the French company Onepoint, chosen for the financial rescue of heavily indebted Atos, has withdrawn its offer, the French IT group, technological pillar of the Paris Olympics this summer, announced on Wednesday. At the same time, Czech billionaire Daniel Kretinsky has renewed his interest in resuming talks.

Atos had announced that it needed 1.1 billion euros in liquidity for its activity in 2024-2025 and wanted to massively reduce its gross debt, by 4.8 billion euros, to safeguard its activity. As the International Olympic Committee’s (IOC) Worldwide IT Partner since 2002, Atos will be one of the technological pillars of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Atos is also present in sensitive activities, including supercomputers used for nuclear deterrence.
