Review of the Neighborhood Festival 2024 edition in Quebec!

While laughter and smiles still resonate in our neighborhoods, it is time to look back at the highlights of the 18th edition of the Neighborhood Day, which was celebrated in unison throughout Quebec.

After several months of preparation, the Neighborhood Day was held on June 1, bringing together more than 37,000 citizens throughout Quebec.

Promoted by Espace MUNI, this edition was marked by unprecedented participation. In total, 167 municipalities and 44 organizations responded to the call. More than 825 civic festivals were organized in all regions of Quebec. These figures demonstrate the remarkable commitment of citizens to cultivating strong and lasting ties with their neighborhood.

The inspiring presence of Vanessa Pilon, spokesperson for the Neighborhood Festival, was a catalyst for mobilization. Her vibrant call to overcome the barriers of shyness to create inclusive and caring communities resonated in the hearts of a large number of participants. In addition, the collaboration with Voisin added a touch of conviviality and deliciousness to this edition!

Highlighting the positive impact of the Neighborhood Day, Doreen Assaad, president of the board of directors of Espace MUNI and mayor of Brossard, declared: “While the decorations and picnic tables are put away, I hope that the moments of sharing and happiness experienced during this festive day will extend into neighborhoods throughout the year, thus generating more conviviality, security and mutual assistance on a daily basis. »

The next edition of the Neighborhood Day is scheduled for June 7, 2025. Until then, visit Espace MUNI’s social media and website for all the latest news and to discover the new neighborhood-related awareness campaign.
