Since June 13, the Bragarde city has been immersed in the world of ancient games as part of the third edition of the Spring Archeology festival.

Until June 16, in Saint-Dizier, the third edition of the Spring of Archeology festival is taking place. “This year, we decided to immerse visitors in the world of ancient games in reference to the year of the Olympic and Paralympic Games”, explains Marie-Claude Gaspard, president of ArchéOlonnA, the association organizing the festival. An event which began on June 13 at the Ciné-quai with the screening of the film Asterix at the Olympic Games.

“Making archeology fun”

This June 14, at 6:30 p.m., at the theater, two free conferences will take place on the themes of ancient sport and the Aztecs (who played a ball sport where the captain of the losing team was sometimes sacrificed).

The weekend of June 15 and 16 will be centered on activities at the Charles Jacquin stadium with the establishment of a reenactment village from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. with artisans, sports demonstrations and reenactment troops. Entrance, which will be via Chemin de l’Argente Ligne, has been set at 5 euros per person and will be free for children under 14 years old.
