A 24-year-old motorcyclist was transported to the Brive hospital center “in absolute emergency”, according to the firefighters’ terminology.

A few hours apart, two traffic accidents were reported in Brive, on the night of Saturday June 15 to Sunday June 16, 2024.

The most serious occurred Saturday evening, around 9 p.m., on the first ring of boulevards surrounding the very center of Brive.

For a reason that remains to be determined, a motorcyclist apparently lost control of his machine while traveling on Boulevard Lachaud, where, for example, the courthouse is located.

The motorcycle collided with a piece of street furniture. According to the Corrèze firefighters, the pilot, a 24-year-old man, was evacuated to the Brive hospital center as an “absolute emergency”.

Four vehicles on avenue Pierre-Sémard

A little later, around 1 a.m., another accident occurred, this time at 86 avenue Pierre-Sémard (formerly avenue de Bordeaux), not far from the gas station.

According to initial information, four vehicles were involved in this collision, including one which was parked along the avenue.

In total, six people, including young children, were treated by firefighters. Three other people were more lightly impacted.
