Astrofest is back for a fourth edition and this astronomical event will take place at the Montreal Planetarium from June 15 to 16, 2024.

The 2024 edition will highlight the Sun, whose activity is currently reaching the peak of its 11-year cycle. Participants will be able to relive spectacular phenomena from this year, such as the total solar eclipse of April 8.

The Planetarium will welcome young and old for a total immersion in the world of astronomy.

A variety of activities will be offered, such as creative workshops, crafts, information kiosks and captivating interactive experiences.

Telescopes will be at your disposal to observe the Sun during the day and the Moon in the evening with experts on hand to guide the observations.

The festivities will also include strolling activities, face painting and a concert by the Urban Science Brass Band, all free of charge.

Come test your knowledge and learn more about Canadian space missions with an interactive quiz game hosted by astronaut Joshua Kutryk.

For gourmets, a mobile kiosk from the Botanical Garden restaurant will offer a vegan menu and a bar will be open in the evening.

Prepare for takeoff! This is an event not to be missed.
