Second hand and circularity in luxury are the subject of a unique show, which will be held in Paris from November 15 to 17 at the Carrousel du Louvre. A first edition was launched in Geneva in 2022 by Fabienne Lupo, who notably directed the Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie for fifteen years, under the name ReLuxury. This year, the event, renamed Pre-Loved Luxury Show, is joining forces with high-end real estate specialist Barnes and is expanding to include prestige properties.
It will take place for three days at the Carrousel du Louvre, bringing together around sixty French and international exhibitors. Watches, jewelry, fashion and leather goods, but also luxury services will offer a panorama of second-life luxury. Well-known labels such as Chopard or Breitling, auction houses, resellers and platforms from Drouot to eBay will be present, as well as start-ups offering new circular initiatives.
Workshops for repair, restoration and upcyclingas well as around fifteen conferences on subjects as diverse as the art of collecting second-hand watches, the promotion of intangible heritage thanks to AI, the authentication of vintage items or even luxury ski resorts facing climate challenges.
This show aims to be a place for exchanges and experiences where you can discover, acquire, learn, have your goods valued and resell them, but also a place for reflection on the transition to more responsible luxury.
As the organizers point out in a press release, “beyond the environmental impact, the transition to a circular economy could generate an economic opportunity of 4.5 billion dollars (4.17 billion euros) by 2030 , with savings in material costs and new sources of income.”
