He was nicknamed the “Bocuse of the sea”. Friday June 14, 2024, Jacques Le Divellecformer chef, is died at the age of 91. In the 1980s, he was at the head of the legendary restaurant in Paris, simply named Le Divellec. His reputation was skillful, one of the best fish restaurants from Paris.

First star at 30

The man began his career in 1955 in the gourmet restaurant The Grand Véfour in Paris. Three years later, he left the capital to start his own business in La Rochelle, where he bought a café-hotel-restaurant. Critics were quick to spot it. At the age of 30, in 1962 he obtained his first Michelin star.

After traveling the world, he returned to Paris in the early 1980s where he opened the restaurant Le Divellec, on the Esplanade des Invalides. The address, prestigious within the ministerial district, quickly became essential for politicians, diplomats, businessmen and journalists. François Mitterrand There was his napkin ring.
