The Marignac-Lasclares Town Hall presents a tribute exhibition which retraces the life of each of the eleven Mariclarains who died for France in 1914-1918. It was imagined and produced by Patricia Tastet-Culos, a genealogist living in the town since 2023. Come and discover the stories of Léon Andrieu, Eugène Capblanquet, Joseph Comminges, Jean-Marie Ducos, Jean-Marie Echène, Paul Galy, Hippolyte Laffont , François Lafforgue, Bernard Létrenne, Louis Martin and Fernand Viatgé. Discover their stories as soldiers and the circumstances of their disappearances but also their life as a farmer, wheelwright, boilermaker, breeder, coachman, blacksmith, farrier, teacher or miller in Marignac-Lasclares before the first war. Many anecdotes about Marignac-Lasclares 110, 200 and even 2,000 years ago.
Inauguration of the exhibition on Sunday November 10, 2024 during the official celebrations of the village festival which will take place from November 8 to 10. The exhibition will be on view until November 11, 2024. Outdoors at 108, chemin de Saint-Martin. In case of bad weather, in the village hall on Monday November 11 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. The exhibition will be continued in the village at a later date. Please note that some passages in the texts of the exhibition are violent or shocking, it is therefore recommended to do not allow or read it to young people.
