After that of Adelsy Advance Electronic System last October, Steliau Technology makes its second acquisition of the year with the British company Alpha Micro Components. This is a first in the United Kingdom for the Paris region.
After Italy, the pan-European distributor of electronic solutions crosses the Channel to get its hands on the distributor of electronic components and wireless solutions Alpha Micro Components, founded in 1995. The company is based in Basingstoke (around 90 kilometers south -west London) and serves markets such as BMS (battery management systems), asset and resident tracking, medical and portable services and even smart cities, mainly in the United Kingdom and Ireland. Like the French group's previous acquisitions, the financial transaction opens up significant cross-selling opportunities: “All of the group’s services and skills will enable Alpha Micro to serve its customers with even greater value.” For its part, Alpha Micro and its 27 employees will bring to Steliau expertise in connectivity and geolocation which will benefit all of the group's customers.
Alpha Micro should remain independent within the group, but it nevertheless intends “strengthening synergies”. Christos Papakyriacou, the co-founder of Alpha Micro Components, comments on the acquisition: “We are delighted to have joined the Steliau family which shares the same key values and principles as us and where the customer is always at the center of our activity. As an independent value-added distributor for thirty years, it was vitally important to us that our customers and our loyal team benefit from this exciting new opportunity.
