How to tell what must remain invisible? This is the specialty of journalist, author and documentarian Ixchel Delaporte, who lives between Regnéville-sur-Mer (Manche) and Paris. The finalist for the 2019 Albert-Londres prize, noted for her work on low wages in the world of Bordeaux grands crus, published the survey The martyred children of Riaumont in 2022. The documentary of the same name broadcast on the channel untilTuesday November 12, 2024, is its screen adaptation.

She captured the history of this home for young boys and boarding school, the Riaumont children's village in Liévin (Pas-de-Calais) shortly after its closure in 2019. Since 1960, minors were raised there the hard way by fundamentalist Catholics, mistreated and raped without the local authorities being alarmed. Ixchel Delaporte collected testimonies from former residents, who tell of hell.
