In the Lot, certain municipalities attract more wealthy households, declaring more than 100,000 euros in annual income. The 2022 tax data, published by the Directorate General of Public Finances, reveals the ten towns and villages in the department where the number of wealthy households is the greatest.

If the Lot department is characterized by low density demographics, it also has several municipalities housing many wealthy households. Thanks to data from the General Directorate of Public Finances, Le Journal Toulousain identified the towns in the department with the most households declaring annual incomes of more than 100,000 euros, as was done for several other territories in , such as Haute-Garonne, Hérault and Ariège. However, this classification does not necessarily reflect the overall wealth of citiesbut it allows us to draw up a map of the areas where the wealthiest households reside.

Cahors at the top of the Lot ranking

The Lot prefecture, Cahors, unsurprisingly tops the ranking with 215 households declaring income above 100,000 euros. A historic and dynamic city, it brings together the largest number of wealthy households in the department, taking advantage of its economic and cultural appeal. In second position, Figeac brings together 114 rich households. Next comes Gourdon with 49 wealthy households, thus positioning itself on the podium in the ranking.

The municipality of Pradines occupies fourth place with 47 households declaring more than 100,000 euros of income. As for Saint-Céré, it is in fifth position with 29 wealthy households. The end of the ranking is made up of Gramat (28 households), Prayssac (21 households), Martel and Souillac (19 households each), and Luzech which closes the list with 18 wealthy households.
