Shortly after 6 p.m. this Tuesday, November 5, several shots rang out near Place Guy Moquet in Vaulx-en-Velin, causing panic among passers-by.
Several of them took shelter in the Mas du Taureau pharmacy, banging violently on the door to get it opened. The police, quickly on the scene, cordoned off the perimeter. According to initial information, the shots were fired into the air, with no injuries found on the spot.

Searches of emergency services that may have attended to a firearm-injured person were negative. No trace of blood was found on site but the police discovered large caliber shell casings. The shots were fired at a footbridge, by one or more individuals who have not yet been identified.
