French central defender Ibrahima Konaté was replaced at half-time of the Liverpool – Brighton match (2-1) after injuring his shoulder at the end of the first period on Saturday, five days before Didier Deschamps' next list.
“He was in a lot of pain”
The 25-year-old full-back, who started with the Blues in October, fell on a shoulder after going up for a Liverpool corner and appeared to be in pain before his replacement at half-time by Joe Gomez.
“He was in a lot of pain”commented the coach of Reds Arne Slot. “It's always difficult to gauge an injury within an hour. Hopefully he will be back with us sooner rather than later as he has had a big influence on our season so far. »
