Several news items occurred this Tuesday, June 4 in Savoie and Haute-Savoie.

The Courier shopping center in Annecy hit by flooding

Part of the establishment had to be closed this Tuesday, June 4 due to the accidental rupture of a pipe shortly before 6 a.m. this morning. Water therefore flowed particularly at the main entrance where several stores were affected and suffered some material damage. Firefighters were therefore dispatched to the site to evacuate the water and carry out drying work and check the structures. The Courier shopping center was able to reopen its main entrance at midday, but several stores remained closed.

A major fire in an EHPAD in Savoie

The fire broke out on Tuesday June 4 around 1:10 p.m. in the Albert Carron EHPAD in the town of Yenne, near Lake Bourget. According to firefighters, the flames first hit the facade before spreading to the roof, for a reason that remains to be determined. A major rescue system was deployed on site, with nearly 70 firefighters and around thirty engines. The fire is under control but emergency services are still on site to carry out checks. The report shows four minor injuries, transported to hospital. More than 100 people were evacuated during the emergency response.

Numerous interventions for the PGHM of Chamonix

High mountain rescue services traveled a total of 5 times in the Mont-Blanc massif using Choucas 74. This morning for two men, a 41-year-old having fallen and another 82-year-old victim of a major epileptic attack, who were each transported to the Sallanches hospital center. Three interventions then took place this afternoon for two mountaineers who had unscrewed, two skiers who were technically blocked and a young woman who fell. Here again, transport to Sallanches hospital was necessary.
