With the construction of a new tramway, the T8, and the extension of the High Level of Service Bus (BHNS) line, Sytral Mobilités will invest 330 million euros in eastern .

In addition to the new tram lines already validated, T6, T9 and T10, as well as the BRT between Part Dieu and Sept Chemins, Sytral Mobilités will launch two new projects in the east of the Lyon metropolitan area, that of the construction of the line tramway T8, between Vaulx-en-Velin/La Soie and Gare de Vénissieux, as well as the extension of the BRT from Sept Chemins to /Parilly. These are projects which have received the approval of the main municipalities concerned: Bron, Saint-Fons, Saint-Priest, Vénissieux, Vaulx-en-Velin, , etc.

250 million euros for T8…

The future tramway will require the construction of 8.1 kilometers of lines, for a dozen stations. End-to-end journey times, between Vaulx-en-Velin-La silk and Vénissieux train station, will be approximately 21 minutes, for frequencies of 10 minutes, during rush hour. This project will mobilize a budget of 250 million euros, including rolling stock. This infrastructure concerns a population of between 28 and 30,000 inhabitants (less than 500 meters) and a catchment area of ​​25,000 jobs, with major economic zones in Bron Saint-Priest and Vénissieux-Porte des Alpes.

…and 80 million euros for the extension of the BRT

The extension of the BRT between Sept Chemins and Parilly will require road development over a distance of 9 kilometers. The journey time will be approximately 24 minutes, with frequencies ranging between 7 and 14 minutes depending on the period. It will require 80 million euros of investment, serving 7,400 residents (within 500 meters) and an employment area of ​​22,000 employees.

Teol for western Lyon and increased metro capacity

For these two structuring projects in Eastern Lyon, and to carry them out successfully, Sytral Mobilités will launch, by the end of the year, a series of meetings with all the economic and institutional players in the different territories concerned. by these construction sites. Furthermore, Bruno Bernard, president of Sytral Mobilités de la Métropole de Lyon, was keen to point out that the West of Lyon was not left out, with the future project of the Tramway Express de l'Ouest Lyonnais (Teol), in part buried (700 million euros). And that the metro lines will benefit from 1.7 billion euros of investment, largely devoted to increasing capacity.
