Hauts-de-Seine: Freshwater sailor opens a new nautical base for its license-free boats

On sunny days, they are crowded for a trip with friends or a romantic evening. From summer 2024, Freshwater sailor, rental specialist electric boats without a license opens a new nautical base in June 2024 in Boulogne-Billancourt (Hauts-de-Seine). This is the company’s second in the department, after the opening of the one in Levallois-Perret a year ago.

Domaine de Saint-Cloud

This new base, installed opposite the national domain of Saint-Cloud between the Pont de Saint-Cloud and Pont de Sèvres stations, will be equipped with around twenty boats. “The project for this new marina demonstrates Marin d’Eau Douce’s desire to honor the emblematic places of Hauts-de-Seine while making them accessible to all,” underlines the company in a press release.

This new base will allow apprentice sailors to explore the surroundings of the Boulogne Edmond de Rothschild park, L’Longchamps racecourse, Seguin Island and theSaint-Germain Island.

“We are proud to announce the upcoming launch of the Boulogne-Billancourt nautical base. After the success experienced in Levallois, we hope that this new marina will generate the same enthusiasm. We also hope to contribute, thanks to the discovery of nature by boat, to accelerating the ecological awareness of Ile-de-France residents and tourists. We are convinced that the recreational aspect is a necessary vector for changing behavior.”

Like its other addresses, Marin d’eau Douce once again offers aperitif offerings to enjoy while sailing.
