Initially, a man sends his ex-girlfriend a video in which he is seen cutting his veins, according to a police source. When she arrived at the marital home, she noticed two wounds on her former partner’s forearms and alerted the firefighters.
When they arrive, the madman refuses treatment and locks himself in the bathroom with his former partner. A crazy gesture which led the police officers from the operational support group (GSO) of the Parisian intervention and security company (CSI 75) to intervene and quickly free the woman. The two individuals were taken to two different hospitals and their vital prognosis is not in jeopardy.
A thirty-year-old accustomed to “excesses”
According to several residents of this village-like neighborhood, the man who blackmailed suicide is not his first outburst. A shopkeeper on the tourist thoroughfare speaks of “a thirty-year-old” accustomed to “excess” of all kinds, without expanding further. “Today, it ended in the ambulance,” he evades.
For almost an hour, traders located inside the security perimeter established between rue des Deux ponts and the Saint-Louis en l’Île church had to lower the curtain of their shops. “There was the Samu, the firefighters and the police,” explains one of them.
