Geography, values, sharing, there are many themes to develop in class around the passage of the flame in Alsace, andit’s ME from Paris 2024 this summer. At the Roman school in Strasbourg, the teachers also chose to prepare Olympic dance with the children to present it to the parents, during the fair, on June 28.

“We rehearsed every morning in the courtyard at 8:30 a.m. for 15 days, as part of a week of the Olympics,” remembers Lucie Bronner, the teacher who leads the dance and sets the tempo while standing on a table. “The choreography is divided into blocks. The children learned very quickly.”

Include everyone

“It’s very easy”confirmed Awa, Nour and Asma. “Not complicated at all.” Their favorite moment in the choreography, “It’s sport!” They take turns in the poses of a basketball player, a boxer or even a footballer. “Dance allows us to transmit different values, solidarity, respect, non-judgment. It is a way of including everyone, all ages, all levels”, concludes Lucie Bronner.
