What to do this week in Lanaudière

On this last weekend of May, Lanaudière will vibrate to the rhythms of numerous activities on its territory, whether sporting or cultural!

Friday May 31 to Sunday June 2

See you at the Rodéo Lanaudière in Sainte-Béatrix! On site, Gymkhana, Bullmania, show, line dancing and mini-farm.

Lanaudière readers will be served with the Berthierville Book Fair. From 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, at the Joannie Rochette arena, visitors will be able to meet authors and attend conferences.

Thursday May 30

A networking activity for community organizations will be held at the Rawdon municipal beach (3304, 8e avenue) from 5 p.m. The event is free.

Friday May 31

Patrick Norman will be at the Saint-Ambroise-de-Kildare church for a benefit concert for the benefit of the Sainte-Anne parish. It will start at 8 p.m. and tickets are on sale for $45.

Saturday 1er June

Fans of microbrewery beers are expected in downtown Berthierville from 11 a.m. for Berthi&Broue! Sixteen microbreweries will be on site, with performances from the Countryside and Tribute to the Elders later in the day! A brewing event not to be missed!

The City of Saint-Charles-Borromée will hold its first Neighborhood Festival, a significant event celebrating unity and camaraderie within its community. The event will take place at Parc Bois-Brûlé, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

At 4 p.m., the public is invited to the inauguration of the new season of the Cuthbert Chapel. On the menu at the start of the 2024 season: the unveiling of the outdoor installations and the exhibition at the Chapel, in the presence of artists Éliane Excoffier, Émile Riopel, Olivier Moisan-Dufour and several others.

As part of Quebec Disabled People’s Week which takes place from June 1 to 7, organizations will come together to mark this week by inviting the population to a picnic which takes place from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Parc Bosco of Saint-Charles-Borromée.

The City of Terrebonne will hold its annual distribution of compost, forest mulch and tulip bulbs. Tree shoots will also be presented by provincial deputies Pierre Fitzgibbon, Lucie Lecours and Mathieu Lemay. The event will be held in four locations simultaneously, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.: Gare Terrebonne (4000, boulevard Marcel-Therrien), the Library of the La Plaine sector (6900, rue Guérin), the Bibliothèque André-Guérard ( 3425, place Camus), as well as the Parc des Vignobles (950, avenue du Terroir).

The public market in downtown Joliette continues from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

The Maison Rosalie-Cadron de Lavaltrie invites the population to its new historical exhibition from 1 p.m.

Martine St-Clair will be at Cabaret La Crèche in Saint-Cléophas-de-Brandon. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.

At the Desjardins Cultural Center, comedian Jo Cormier will take the stage with his first one-man show Animal at 8 p.m.

Dragmania: Le Grand Cabaret stops at the Café culturelle de la Chasse-Galerie. The show starts at 8 p.m.

Sunday June 2

The singers from Place Bourget will be in concert with the Joliette Youth Symphony Orchestra to celebrate their 70the birthday. The show will take place at the Desjardins Cultural Center at 7 p.m.

The Joliette triathlon will be in full swing from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the streets of the city. Moreover, obstacles are provided to ensure the safety of the athletes.
