A student attacks his teacher with a knife in the middle of class in a high school in Maine-et-Loire

The numerous gendarmes posted around the Hyrôme high school this morning, in Chemillé (Chemillé-en-Anjou) were unable to escape the population, quickly spreading the news. Around 9:45 a.m., an English teacher was attacked with a knife by one of her students during her lesson. The suspect, aged 18, quickly left the scene. He was arrested by the municipal police and taken into custody.

A psychological unit set up

The teacher was slightly injured, her life is not in danger. A psychological listening unit has been set up within the establishment. Located in a rural area, the Hyrôme high school provides technical training for 150 students.

The investigation was entrusted to the gendarmerie.
