In Granville, in the Manche, the Flame will set off from the Christian Dior garden, at 3:05 p.m.

A 4 km route

THE 20 bearers of the Flame will take turns every 200 meters, on a 4 km course, taking Avenue de la Libération, Place Maréchal Foch, Rue des Jews, Boulevard Vaufleury, Pointe du Roc, Rue du Port before finishing the race in front of the CRNG at 16 o’clock, boulevard des Amirals.

The animations

To celebrate the passing of the Flame in Granville, 300 students learned the official dance of the Olympics which they will present at 2 p.m. at the CRNG. Nearly 2,300 students from the Granville Terre et Mer area, as well as 100 high school students from Dinan (Brittany) will be spread out on the circuit to encourage the flame bearers to the sound of traveling music groups.

A village of Flame

Saturday 1er June, the Flame Village will be open to the general public, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Granville decided to start this great Olympic celebration, a week before the passing of the flame, with breakdancing, BMX and skateboarding demonstrations at the skatepark, Saturday May 25 afternoon.

Parking, traffic: restrictions

Starting at 7 a.m. on Friday, May 31, parking will be prohibited on the roads along the route. Traffic will be prohibited between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. at the latest on the route and will gradually reopen after the passage of the Olympic Flame.

Any vehicle parked despite the ban may be penalized and removed from the road.

Free parking for local residents

To allow residents of the route to park their vehicles with peace of mind, parking will be free throughout the city, including in the maritime area (port car park), from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
