Alain Ducasse has a string of good Parisian addresses and this time is tackling a major project. Acquired in 2021, the entrepreneur and starred chef launched into the restoration of the People’s Househistoric place in Clichy-la-Garenne, to make one mecca of gastronomy at the gates of Paris.
A place, a story
Located between Klock and Martissot streets and opened in 1939, the Maison du Peuple is a real jewel of modernismdesigned by architects Eugène Beaudouin and Marcel Lods. The place hosted the Lorraine Marketas well as a cinema, a theater stage, a village hall, public meeting spaces… In short, a real cultural hub, which over time has been left abandoned.

With the support of the Ministry of Culture and the Île-de-France Region, chef Alain Ducasse has undertaken to restore this emblematic place, all the same classified as a Historic Monumentto make it a new showcase of Ducasse know-how, between beautiful architecture and high gastronomy. The work officially began on January 25 and is continuing, for a estimated opening in 2025or even early 2026.
An XXL culinary project
This new major project promises this time to offer a space dedicated to great Ducasse ideas, in a space of more than 4,000 m2. The building plans to accommodate the company headquartersbut above all, four factories – chocolate, coffee, ice cream and biscuits – which will also be visible from the outside through windows, as well as a international laboratory with chefs in residence, a space dedicated to the history of the place, a café and a large broth style refectorywith Ducasse sauce of course. But for the moment, you will have to be patient, since there is still a certain time before the opening of this place which already promises to be iconic.
