Former Minister of Health Agnès Firmin-Le Bodo was sentenced, Monday October 14, by the Le Havre judicial court to a fine of 8,000 euros, including 4,000 suspended, as part of the investigation on its links with the pharmaceutical industry, the public prosecutor of Le Havre confirmed to France Bleu Normandie Rouen, after revelations from Médiapart.
Agnès Firmin-Le Bodo, current Horizons & Indépendants MP for Seine-Maritime, admitted the facts following a guilty plea procedure. A pharmacist by profession, the former Minister of Health from December 2023 to January 2024 received more than 20,000 euros in gifts from Urgo laboratories, from 2015 to 2020, without declaring them.
The decision was pronounced Monday as part of an appearance procedure on prior admission of guilt (CRPC). In total, five pharmacists were convicted for having benefited from advantages from laboratories. They were sentenced to fines ranging from 5,800 euros to 13,000 euros, partially suspended, specifies the public prosecutor of Le Havre. Agnès Firmin-Le Bodo has 10 days, until next Thursday, to appeal.
