Built in the 1960s, the Ajols bridge serving the homes of Rue des Ajols and the businesses of the Ajols Industrial Zone shows numerous civil engineering deteriorations.

Faced with this observation, the Mayor issued a municipal decree regulating traffic on this structure where the tonnage is limited to 3.5 tonnes.

Secondly, we contacted the ATDV (Agence Technique Départementale des Vosges) to carry out a feasibility study for the repair and reconstruction work on the bridge.

An evaluation visit carried out in 2023 confirmed the need to undertake studies and work on this structure which presents numerous weaknesses.

After presenting the feasibility study established by the ATDV, in the works commission then during the municipal council on Thursday July 11, 2024, the elected representatives of the municipal council retained the following solution for the repairs and reconstruction of the Ajols bridge :

width of the trafficable roadway: 300 cm,

refuge strip: 70 cm,

widening of the pedestrian lane by 30 cm,

widening of the structure by 30 cm,

limited to 3.5 tonnes.

The total amount of the operation (studies and works) is estimated at 179,000 euros excluding tax and requests for subsidies will be made to the Vosges Departmental Council, to the State via the “National Bridge Works Program” plan.

We hope to carry out the work during the year
