A mutilated body was found in a barrel in Moselle almost 20 years ago. Interpol relaunched the case last week.
The case shook Lorraine in 2005: the body of a woman was found mutilated in a water collection barrel, along departmental road 44 in Saint-Quirin. A “cold case” relaunched mid-week by Interpol as part of a campaign called “Identify me”. The objective is to identify 46 women whose bodies have never been identified. A crucial step in moving this type of business forward.
The victim found in Moselle has since been named “the woman with the Richmond dental crown” by Interpol. A reference to a detail that could help identify it. His body was discovered on January 7, 2005 and his age estimated at 35-47 years. She was fair-skinned, approximately 160 cm tall and had wavy brown hair. A pink Baba Nuki BnK tank top and a red Hechter Studio bra were also found in the barrel.
According to Interpol, the barrel in question was seen in mid-October 2004 floating in the Red Sarre River. The investigation carried out to date leads us to believe that the victim could have come from Eastern Europe. This was due to the strong presence of young Russian women in the sector at that time. “The study of the dentition showed that dental treatments – recent and expensive at the time, notably a Richmond crown – could have been carried out in Germany” specify the authorities.
