The famous Christmas Train returns to Quebec in November and here are all the stops

While it will travel across Canada to spread the magic of the holiday season, the Canadian Pacific Christmas train has announced its return to Quebec in 2024, promising a very festive atmosphere! Displaying his bright Christmas decorations, he will travel from one province to another to spread joy. It’s from November that you can dive into the magic, since stops in the beautiful province will only be made at the end of this month.

On the program, it’s not just illuminated wagons that are circulating. Professional artists will offer free performances on a beautifully decorated stage, installed directly on the train.

So, put on your warmest clothes and prepare yourself a good comforting drink, because this moment promises to be worthy of a cheesy Christmas movie!

On November 22, the Christmas train will leave New Brunswick to enter Quebec, with a first stop in Montreal, around 7 p.m., at the EXO station in Montreal West. This is where the very first performance will be held. At 8:30 p.m., the festivities will move to Beaconsfield. These two evenings will be hosted by the American rock group American Authors and the Scottish singer and songwriter KT Tunstall.

The next day, at noon, the illuminated train will stop at Lac-Mégantic, where the Canadian country group James Barker Band and R&B/Soul singer Clerel will offer performances. They will then continue their journey to Sherbrooke at 4:45 p.m., then to Farnham around 8:45 p.m.

November 24 will mark the last day to admire the festive train and enjoy the same artists as the day before. Kahnawá:ke is the first stop of the day in the province, at 5 p.m. He will then go to Saint-Constant at 6 p.m., then to Delson at 6:55 p.m., Saint-Mathieu at 7:50 p.m., to finally end his Quebec journey in Lacolle at 9:00 p.m.

Although the festivities are completely free, they are relatively short: the train stays only 30 minutes in each city.

The main objective of the Canadian Pacific Holiday Train is to collect donations of non-perishable food or money for local food banks in North America. If you would like to contribute, you can do so at the local food bank kiosk present at each event. However, don’t expect to carry your donation on the train: the area food bank will have a booth at each event to welcome everyone’s generosity.
