GARD Who is the new quartet at the head of the Communist Party?

Last night, Communist Party delegates approved the nomination of four people to lead their party.

Who to succeed the outgoing PCF departmental secretary, Vincent Bouget? Finally, it’s not just one person, but four! We find Nîmes and close to Vincent Bouget, Frédéric Deschamps. He is also the son of Bernard Deschamps, former deputy (1986-1988) and departmental councilor of the canton of Beaucaire (1982-2001). Very active within the party, Frédéric Deschamps, a retired physiotherapist, is rather a man in the shadows, a former negotiator for the agreement for the union of the Left in the departmental elections in 2021.

At his side, we find the Alésien and former departmental advisor, Jean-Michel Suau. Still an opposition politician from the city of Alès, he was defeated in the last departmental elections of 2021. Two women complete this casting: Muriel Blachère, originally from the region where she was responsible for communications.

Finally, Saliha Boussedra, philosophy teacher at the Philippe-Lamour high school, is national advisor to the Communist Party. Specializing in issues related to working-class neighborhoods, she has just published a book: Feminist with Marx. For a dialogue with Judith Butler and the “ materialist feminists » (Editions Fondation Gabriel Péri).
