Up to 90 km/h in the Médoc
According to forecasters, the wind could blow up to 90 km/h on the Pointe du Médoc and at more than 80 km/h on the entire Gironde coast, including the Arcachon basin.
Inland, up to 85 km/h is forecast in the evening. Blaye80 km/h Bordeaux or 70 to 75 km/h in the Libourne and in South Gironde.
The day should be marked by intermittent showers. Météo France reports 15 millimeters of precipitation in Bordeaux on Wednesday afternoon.
Gironde relatively spared
In short, the Gironde should be less affected than the Vendée, the Loire region and the Paris region where the wind will blow stronger and where the forecast rainfall amounts are impressive.
Worse, on the crests of the Pyrenees, Météo France announces up to 150 km/h and 110 to 120 km/h in the valleys.
In total, around ten departments in France have been placed on orange alert for rain-flooding or violent winds.
