I called the police, and since they were late in coming, we rushed to send the child to the hospital. And an hour later, the police arriveddeplores Mr. Monday.

The child, for his part, remains traumatized by this attack and has lived in fear ever since, according to his mother, Marie Ettian.

After finding the woman not far from the scene of the attack, the father asked her why she had attacked his son in this way.

She said the child used to knock on her door for three years, while we only arrived in the neighborhood since January. […] My son has never done thisrelate M. Senin.

The woman was arrested and questioned by investigators.

She could face charges of assault causing harm and assault with a weapon. She was released the same day with a promise to appear and conditions to be respected, including not communicating with the child and his family.explained agent Mélanie Mercille, from SPAL.

The fact that this woman has been released is of great concern to the family.

I will never accept that my child could suffer this kind of trauma, indignant the boy’s mother, Marie Ettian. I fear for the other children too, because it is close to a school, and that scares me. There is fear in the house here.

Although this event is unusual to say the least, the Longueuil police remind the public to contact 911 when neighborhood conflicts arise rather than trying to take the law into their own hands.
