The conclusion of these two agreements, signed successively in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 04-20 relating to the National Electronic Identity Card and Law No. 40-17 establishing the Status of Bank Al-Maghrib, consolidates the framework partnership between the two organizations.
The first agreement, entitled “Protocol of Understanding for the authorization of Bank Al-Maghrib to exploit the technical functionalities of the CNIE”, is part of the strengthening of identity verification mechanisms to promote simplification procedures and the digitalization of services and to combat identity fraud. It aims to make the services of the national trusted third party, developed by the DGSN, available to Bank Al-Maghrib allowing it to ensure the identity of its users and read their identity data automatically from their CNIE, with their consent, within the premises of Bank Al-Maghrib or remotely via its online services.
The second agreement, entitled “Partnership Agreement in the field of site security and cash convoys”, aims, for its part, to formalize the already existing cooperation between the DGSN and Bank Al-Maghrib in the field. of the security of the sites of this establishment and the escort of convoys of funds and valuables, as well as the strengthening of this cooperation through, in particular, the periodic organization of awareness-raising actions and simulation exercises.
