The first witnesses to the accident came to his aid and called the emergency services, who quickly intervened. Placed in survival position (PLS), the injured person was unconscious until the arrival of firefighters and the gendarmerie, who secured the scene.
According to initial testimonies, the victim was walking in the middle of the lane in the direction of Chavanod-Seynod, a drink in hand, when the motorist arrived. Surprised by its presence, the latter would not have succeeded in getting around it given the vehicles arriving in the opposite direction.
Taken care of by the firefighters, the pedestrian was transported to the Annecy hospital center for treatment.
