A minor attacks a passenger in the RER D to steal his phone between Oise and Val-d’Oise

L’assault was particularly violent in the RER Don Friday May 3, 2024. A individual aged 15 brutally attacked a public transport passenger, between Orry-la-Villetown in the south of the Oise, and Survilliers (Val-d’Oise) to try to steal his phone, an iPhone 15, and his headphones, AirPods, at knifepoint.

Arrested by the gendarmes after his theft in the RER D

THE gendarmes of the Orry-la-Ville brigade took advantage of this “armed extortion” to try to find the minor. This was located and identified thanks to video surveillance. The individual could have been arrested by the anti-crime brigade (BAC) of Puteaux (Hauts-de-Seine).

The attacker was taken into custody and then brought before the Beauvais parquet “for repeat extortion and repeat concealment of theft” explains the Oise gendarmerie.

The 15-year-old young man was placed in pre-trial detention at the Liancourt penitentiary center while awaiting his judgment before the Beauvais children’s court on May 28.
