If the majority of the 4,000 demonstrators were pacifist, the mobilization of May 1, 2024 was punctuated by a few incidents in Nantes. Businesses have once again suffered. Five people were arrested, three of whom were taken into police custody. Johanna Roland, the mayor of Nantes, denounces the numerous damages.

With a black bloc of around 200 people masked and dressed in black at the start of the procession, the police feared some incidents on the sidelines of the demonstration, this 1er May 2024, in Nantes. Numerous windows were targeted throughout the route. It was probably the Bershka brand, rue de Feltre, which suffered the most. After the window was broken, people came in, trashed furniture and threw clothes outside.
