Did those responsible for the public establishment Gulf of Morbihan Vannes Tourisme (GMVT) commit misappropriation of public funds through negligence and favoritism? This is what the local Anticor Morbihan group thinks, which announced, this Sunday, September 29, 2024, that it had filed a report with the public prosecutor on July 10. This report follows a report from the Regional Chamber of Accounts (CRC) of Brittany, published on December 18, 2023, and covering the period from 1is January 2018 to June 30, 2022.
Several elements pointed out by the CRC
According to the anti-corruption association, several elements pointed out by the CRC concern criminal justice: conclusion of contracts by the director of the establishment without approval of the management committee, absence of calls for tenders for services of designs and printing of various documents for 1.5 million excluding taxes… “The people targeted are Roland Tabard, president during the period concerned, who died in July 2023, Arnaud Burel, director of the establishment, as well as all the members of the management board, first and foremost the 15 mayors and representatives of the local authorities present on the management board, indicates the local Anticor group which hopes that the prosecutor will shed light on all responsibilities concerning these disorders. The indictment of only deceased or distant people cannot serve as the final point in this matter. »
