The Japan Tourism Organization (JNTO) recently announced that Canadian travelers who book an international flight to Japan with Japan Airlines (JAL) are eligible for a free domestic flight to any destination in Japan. “This offer represents an opportunity for Canadians to see and discover more of Japan and also responds to JNTO’s strategy to reduce tourist concentrations in popular areas as well as attract visitors to lesser-known regions,” said Ms. Yuka Suzuki, Executive Director of JNTO in Canada.
To be eligible, Canadians must book an international flight and a domestic flight in the same reservation through the JAL website. Separate reservations for domestic flights are not eligible.
AL’s extensive nationwide network serves 64 airports on 133 routes, providing access to all regions of Japan, including destinations like Okinawa, Tokushima, Niigata, Aomori and Hokkaido. The offer provides an alternative to domestic travel to Japan’s popular Rail Pass, which connects prefectures by high-speed train. For detailed information on the offer, click here.
