The Parking Foundation communicated its results for the year 2023 this Friday. It highlights in particular that it has continued its creation of charging spaces for electric cars. At the end of the year, there were 371, spread across 39 car parks. In other words, this type of parking represents 1.18% of the total spaces in the works – which reaches 31,354 units, distributed in 220 car parks.

More than 21,000 places for motorcycles

The Foundation also indicates that it has created numerous parking spaces for motorcycles in its car parks. As of December 31, there were 2,550. Added to this are 18,837 places on public roads, for a total of 21,387 places.

In total, at the end of 2023, the Parking Foundation managed 60,829 spaces reserved for cars (including 29,475 on the street), 21,387 spaces provided for motorcycles (including 18,837 in the street) and 8,447 spaces reserved for bicycles in its existing car parks and bicycle stations (six in number and which accommodate 1,960 spaces).

Soon new P+R

The Foundation also announces the construction, “in the coming years”, of several P+Rs upstream of urban centers. It plans to provide 3,000 additional spaces in this way, particularly for commuters.
