There Specialized Reception House (MAS) of Aunay-sur-Odon (Les Monts d’Aunay), in Calvados, welcomes, among others, patients brain damaged.

In order to help them return to the social lifesince 2018, it has had four springboard apartmentswhich are made available to its residents.

These springboard apartments are a step before returning to a social life, depending on the needs and desires of the residents. The occupants of these accommodations are independent and stay between 18 and 24 months.

The only establishment in Calvados equipped

At the beginning of September 2024, a barbecue was organized with the current residents of these apartments, and the former ones. Among the latter, Mickaël Quetron.

I arrived at the end of 2019, and in January 2022, I was hired at the ESAT (Établissement et Service d’Accompagnement par le Travail) in Roullours. Today, I work in green spaces at Le Bon Service in Vire. I left the springboard apartment and found a new apartment. I see my children and my family again…

“MAS helps its residents find internships and also accompanies them in their reunion with their children and their family,” adds Lydie Bourdon, also a supervisor at the springboard apartments.

Jean-Pierre Marie arrived in one of these apartments in 2020. Since September 2021, this former presenter, then postman, has been running a retirement very busy in Saint-Germain-la-Blanche-Herbe.

I am now retired, and I am well surrounded. The Medical-Social Support Service for Disabled Adults sets up activities. I play ping-pong, draw, go swimming, and play belote.

The MAS of Aunay sur Odon is the only establishment in Calvados to have springboard apartments. The MAS of Mortagne-au-Perche, in Orne, and Saint-Planchers, in Manche, also have them.
