Inspired by the Saint-Laurent region, the concept will offer 2,000 gourmet film buffs the opportunity to meet artisans of Quebec gastronomy, taste their thematic creations and share an interest in the seventh art. From April 26 to 28, culinary events, film screenings, conferences, workshops, a public market and youth activities will be on the program.

Many chefs and artisans will be on hand to present a menu concocted from a cinematographic work. Among them, we find Patrick Dubé (executive chef of Germain Charlevoix and Les Labors), Sabrina Lemay (Bistro l’Orygine), David Forbes (Camp Boule Buvette de montagne), among others. The host and actor Christian Bégin (Curious Begin), host Francis Reddy and his son Arthur (baker at La Meunerie Urbaine) will also be present.

Workshops on the art of pizza, sommelier making, L’Isle-aux-Coudres pâtés and tasting of Quebec wines will be offered.

A tribute to Michel Côté

Among the documentary or fiction films on display, we can notably see Mario (by director Jean Beaudin), The ocean seen from the heart (Iolande Cadrin-Rossignol and Marie-Dominique Michaud), The time of a summer (Louise Archambault), among others. Actresses Charlotte Aubin and Marie-Ève ​​Perron as well as director Anaïs Barbeau-Lavalette will be on site.

In addition, a tribute to the popular Quebec actor Michel Côté, who died in May 2023, will be presented during the weekend.

Thus, the festival will broadcast the films Cruising Bar (Robert Menard), In the belly of the dragon (Yves Simoneau), In the moonlight (Marc-André Forcier) as well as a rereading of the play Broue. The presence of Véronique Le Flaguais, actress and wife of Michel Côté, and their son Maxime Le Flaguais is announced.
